Offshore renewables and interactions with fisheries

Based on stakeholder feedback the OIR has updated its Offshore renewables and interactions with fisheries brochure.

The brochure highlights how the OEI Act framework operates under the principle of shared use of the offshore marine environment, recognising all users and balancing competing interests. In addition, the brochure indicates where opportunities for engagement exist in relation to developing an offshore renewables project.

The OIR will continue to update and publish information as the offshore renewables industry evolves and the OEI Act regulatory framework is fully operationalised.
